Biography
Bart started his career at ABN AMRO in 1990 and held several postings in the Netherlands and abroad. In 1997 he joined the private equity department of ABN AMRO where he founded the life sciences team in 2000. He was head of the life sciences department until the spin out of the team in 2006, forming Forbion Capital Partners. Bart is one of the founders of Forbion. He has 15 years of experience in venture capital and has broad transactional and management experience. Bart serves currently on the board of several life sciences companies. Furthermore Bart is Vice President of the managing board of the Mibiton Foundation, a government backed foundation providing soft loans to early stage life sciences companies. Bart holds a masters degree in construction engineering from the Technical University of Eindhoven.
