Biography
Caroline specialises in biotechnology, particularly molecular biology, genomics, biochemistry, haematology especially immunology and microbiology. She has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting complex patent applications. Caroline frequently advises biotech startups on their IP strategies. She also has experience in supporting complex licence negotiations in which IP is pivotal and in advising clients before and during IPO processes (Initial Public Offer).
Research Interest
Caroline has a PhD in biochemistry and haematology from the Institut Cochin de Génétique Moléculaire in Paris (1993-1996). Prior to that, after a national competition, she was admitted into a “Grande école” in Paris, at which she studied for three years (1990-1993). This “Grande école” (Institut National Agronomique Paris Grignon, INAPG) specialises in biotechnology and biochemistry. Caroline obtained the title European and Dutch patent attorney at DSM/Gist- brocades in Delft (1998-2004).
