Biography
She completed her Master in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Leiden in 2012. During her first internship in the lab of Marie-Jose Goumans (LUMC, Leiden), she studied the role of TGFβ signaling in cardiomyocyte progenitor cells. During her second internship in the lab of Karin de Visser (NKI, Amsterdam), she studied the role of c-Met in breast cancer development and metastasis. After completing her Master she started as a PhD student in the lab of Jos Jonkers (NKI, Amsterdam). she was using in vivo transposon mutagenesis screens to identify genes that collaborate with E-cadherin loss in lobular breast cancer development.
