Biography
Loss of the G1/S phase checkpoint can cause severe replication stress and DNA damage, activating the DNA damage response pathway. Full-blown tumor growth requires alleviation of this pathway. Her project aims to study the implications of this phenomenon for tumor development and therapeutic intervention. Prior to joining the Te Riele group at the NKI, she completed a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and her MSc in Molecular Mechanisms of Disease at the Radboud University Nijmegen.
