Biography

Christian Blank is a Group Leader in the Department of Cancer, Netherlands Institute of Cancer.

Research Interest

Their research aim is to identify optimal combinations of targeted and immunotherapy to improve the efficacy of these therapies. Our focus is on melanoma and renal cell carcinoma, as these cancers are thought the most immunogenic cancers, but recent data indicate that immunotherapy can work also in cancers of the lung, breast, ovary, bowel and head&neck. In detail our research focus is on the topics: Improving animal models of melanoma to simulate immunotherapy pre-clinically Identify optimal combinations of multiple targeted therapies and immunotherapies Identify patients that most likely benefit from such approaches and transfer such approaches to the clinic
