Biography
Since September 2012 she was a PhD student in the group of Marjanka Schmidt. she works on the CARING project, a European wide consortium investigating the risk of cancer in diabetic patients and determine the link with insulin use. she focus on the potential mechanisms of breast cancer initiation/promotion among diabetics, using both molecular techniques (immunohistochemical and genetic tumour profiling) and epidemiological analysis in existing pharmaco-epidemiological databases. She obtained her Master degree in Epidemiology and Public Health at Wageningen University. This included an internship (in EPIC, Cambridge University) and thesis (in the Nurses Health Study, Harvard Medical School) on Nutritional Epidemiology.
