Biography
In 2010 she obtained her Master's degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Utrecht. A few months later she started her PhD training in the group of Prof. Emile Voest at the University Medical Center in Utrecht. During her PhD she discovered a lipid signaling cascade involving splenic macrophages that induces resistance against DNA-damaging chemotherapeutics. In 2016 she started her post doc in the lab of Prof. Jos Jonkers where she was working on the identification and validation of molecular drivers of invasive lobular breast cancer and triple-negative breast cancer using various genetic mouse models.
