Biography
I recently joined the Zwart lab for a placement of seven months as a masters of oncology student of the University of Amsterdam (UvA).
Research Interest
During this placement, I am trying to identify the causal players in the androgen driven transcriptional complex in prostate cancer under the supervision of Suzan Stelloo. Previously, I was placed in the epigenetics department of The Babraham Institute in Cambridge (UK) where I spent nine-months studying the mechanisms regulating the localisation of AID, a unique enzyme involved in mutation and recombination during B cell and DNA demethylation. This summer, I graduated cum laude in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research (BASc) with an additional honours degree from the University of Applied Sciences Leiden and am now also part of the Amsterdam Science Talent Scholarship (ASTS) programme.
