Biography
Mr Tjepkema qualified as a primary school teacher in 1990 and went on to work as a group teacher, special education teacher and internal coach/counsellor at the primary level. He then enrolled in a Special Education programme, specialised in early childhood education and studied Educational Science at Groningen University. He has taught Educational Theory and Educational Science and worked as a supervisor in the Primary Teacher education programme at Stenden University of Applied Sciences since 2001. He also works as a supervisor and supervision expert in Stenden’s Master’s programme in Special Educational Needs.
Research Interest
As a member of the Research Group, he carries out research into the didactics of multilingual education in upper primary school. He is currently involved in the development and adaptation of the Frysk method for primary education.
