Manon De Koeijer

Biography

  Manon de Koeijer, born in The Netherlands in 1992, has always been interested in the healthcare sector and its continuous innovation. Therefore, Manon decided to study Biomedical Sciences. She obtained her bachelor (2013) and a magna cum laude Master degree (2015) in Biomedical Sciences – Clinical Molecular Sciences at Hasselt University. Furthermore, Manon was appointed the most meritorious student. During her last master year and for her master thesis, Manon performed a full time OPINNO-internship at Novosanis NV. During this master thesis, Manon investigated human skin thickness in 100 adults using high-frequency ultrasound during the imaging study. This knowledge provided a solid base for further VAX-ID™ development, specifically indicating required needle length to ensure intradermal injections. During this master thesis Manon also gained experience in the setting up and follow up of clinical trials. July 2015, Manon de Koeijer works as Biomedical Scientist at Novosanis NV. Manon is responsible for the (pre) clinical studies of the medical devices in development at Novosanis, which includes the organization and management of the preclinical testing as setting up the clinical trials necessary for the further development and optimization of Novosanis’ devices.
