Marc H. Thouin

Biography

 Per April 1st 2016, Marc Thouin (PhD) has joined QPS Ltd as President & General Manager for QPS Netherlands. Marc Thouin comes with a vast experience in the pre-clinical and clinical CRO industry having held board memberships at: Ciba Specialty Chemicals Inc./BASF AG in Basel, Switzerland from 2004 – 2009 as Executive member of management team of Business Unit Expert Services RCC Research & Consulting Company Ltd in Itingen, Switzerland from 1992 – 1999 as COO, Board of Directors Notox CV (now WIL Research) s’-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands from 1984 – 1986 as Member of Board of Directors.   He comes as a highly experienced and versatile team leader in senior management positions. Dr. Thouin has been responsible for global teams of 200 experts, primarily in USA, Canada, Europe, Japan and China. Main tasks were a.o. to give strategic direction to the team, advise on contracting preclinical safety studies, support preparing reports, peer-reviewing dossier submissions and interact with the competent authorities. Dr. Thouin has dealt with challenging jurisdictions such as FDA, EPA, EFSA, ECHA and with national competent authorities in Europe, Korea, China and Japan covering typical use applications such as pharmaceutical ingredients/packaging, consumer care products, plastics, food contact materials, medical devices and biocidal products.
