Biography
Alpesh began his vocational training in 1999, under the mentorship of Shalin Mehra and Steve Brookes in the Weston Favell Group of practices. This was carried out under the supervision of the prestigious Oxford Deanery for which Shalin was VT advisor. Alpesh remained with the group, continuing to work as an associate dentist. In 2002 Alpesh accepted the invitation to become a partner and be a part of the growing group of practices. In common with all Rodericks directors of clinical background, Alpesh is closely involved with continuing education and since 2008 he has been a joint foundation dentist trainer. To enhance his skills as a teacher and mentor, he recently obtained his Certificate in Medical Education from Sheffield University. The support of junior dentists is fundamental to the continuing provision of excellent services within the UK and Alpesh has twice been a speaker at the Young Dentist Conference, having also written several articles for the dental press. Alpesh’s key operational responsibility within Rodericks is the recruitment of new dentists, hygienists and therapists, taking the recruitment journey through its entirety. Following this, he remains on-hand to provide appropriate support, advice and guidance. Through his continuing role as a practicing dentist and with the knowledge of the NHS dental community this brings, Alpesh is well placed to identify areas of need across the country. He works closely with the Rodericks team to ensure continual development of our objective to always deliver excellent NHS dental services.
