Biography
Katherine L. Stewart is an Associate Professor of Behavior Analysis and currently Interim Chair of the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. She was raised in North Carolina and completed her undergraduate and masters studies in Psychology at the University of North Carolina- Wilmington. She continued her graduate studies at the University of Kansas earning a Ph. D. in Behavioral Psychology. More recently, in 2012, she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Research Interest
My research interests lie in translational studies that bridge the gap between experimental and applied behavior analysis. The main topics of focus include: stimulus control and category or class formation, prerequisite skills for reading acquisition, and generalization of those skills.
