Biography

Mark A. Slama relocated to Springfield, Missouri with his wife and three children in 2008 to join QPS as Vice President and General Manager of QPS Bio-Kinetic after spending 20 years with various CROs. He is responsible for the oldest and largest QPS Phase I clinical pharmacology unit overseeing subject recruitment, physician management, clinical operations, data management and project management as well as all other aspects of QPS Bio-Kinetic. Mark’s experience and leadership has accelerated the growth of QPS Bio-Kinetic as a CRO, creating an innovative leader in the Phase I industry,Graduating from Concordia University with a BS in Organizational Management, Mark has been involved in over 1800 clinical trials, over the last 26 years. This has provided Mark an infinite knowledge of Phase I through III business space. He has a wealth of expertise in clinical pharmacology including many vaccine, first in man, DDI, proof of concept, bioequivalence/bioavailability, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, food effect and radiolabeled studies. Mark has held different clinical positions serving in the US and in Europe making him an invaluable resource and mentor. He has held roles in Regulatory Affairs, Project Management, Budgeting and Scheduling, CRA, Study Coordination, Protocol and Report Writing, Quality Control and Clinical Operations Management,Mark has said many times, “We [QPS Bio-Kinetic] enjoy working with our clients on the development of new medications that help people’s lives every day.
