Biography

I knew quite early that I wanted to become a dentist. I lived for a number of years next to Hans Roseboom (one of the founders of Tandstad) and when I assisted him on my sixteenth day in the summer holidays, I knew for sure. This is the perfect combination between healthcare and working with my hands! After graduating in 2005, I could start my own practice within Tandstad. On the one hand, the luxury of a laboratory and experienced colleagues in the property that I could ask for advice at any time, but also at the same time my own boss. To me it was an ideal start. In the early years, there was not enough space in Tandstad to accommodate all dentists full time. For this reason I worked for a number of years in Amsterdam and Lelystad. In 2011 it became possible to rebuild the first floor. As a result, there were more treatment rooms and I was able to work full time in Tandstad. In my chair, I help young and old, afraid and relaxed. I love that change in my days. The most special one I find the patients with whom I have really built a relationship over the years. Some have been treating me for over 10 years and I've seen growing up and changing. The most important thing in a treatment is in my area of ​​mutual trust. If a patient raises his hand, I will always stop immediately. The patient is in control. That is a clear and safe situation for both.
