SONJA SERLIE The love for people, that's what it's all about in my practice. As a dental hygienist, I see my patients year after year, sometimes half a lifetime! Children who have sat in the chair now have children themselves. I make happy moments and dramas. People need it: their hearts fly to an outsider. My passion is especially for young adults and the elderly. Two groups to do something extra. Often they are afraid of the orthodontist, or they do not want a brace for another reason. They often pay more attention to things other than to keep their teeth clean. I am going to the conversation and try to convince them that proper brushing is needed. If your mouth is not clean enough, the orthodontist can not get started. Older people - especially the real elderly - are often vulnerable. I love the rest they bring and the stories they tell me. Special attention deserves the dementers. It's so important to keep an eye on them! Demented people often have trouble indicating pain and caring for their teeth makes them increasingly difficult or they forget it. Suddenly they fall sharply and after a long search they find problems with their teeth. My demented patients are often suspicious and confused. I therefore try to help them with much love and patience.
