Research Interest
research focuses on decent work in small and medium sized businesses. Decent work provides a fair income, in conditions of freedom, equity, security and human dignity to all workers. Formal and informal human resource management (HRM) practices shape the likelihood of decent work within organizations. In turn, economic, institutional and cultural conditions and entrepreneurial agency influence the choice of HRM practices within organizations. HRM practices for decent work in small organizations needs studying in context to ensure that 'best practice' HRM will benefit the work experience of many workers.
