Biography

Hilgo Bruining was trained as a pediatrician and a child and adolescent psychiatrist. He received his PhD in 2011 entitled "Genetic dissection of behavioral phenotypes". Since 2011 he is a researcher en member of clinical staff at the department of Psychiatry of the Brain Center Rudolf Magnus. He is the initiator and PI of the clinical and research care program focused on the diagnosis and treament of sensory processing abnormalities in neurodevelopmental disorders. The main focus of the program is to establish an EEG based descision support system to guide rational treatment development. In addition, he collaborates on preclinical research programs to enhance translation of animal model findings to clinical studies and practice.
