Biography
Diana Dankers-Hagenaars studied Dutch law (doctoraalexamen 1991) and French language and literature (graduation in 1984, first degree lecturer in 1982) at the University of Leiden. In the period 1984-1991 she worked as a French teacher in secondary education. Since 1991 she has been a research assistant at the Department of Private Law at the University of Amsterdam, first as Assistant Professor, since 1 January 2010 as Associate Professor. In October 2000 she defended her thesis entitled 'On the trail of the concession' at the University of Amsterdam. An investigation into the legal nature of the concession in the Netherlands and in France '. She is a member of the Scientific Council of the French-Dutch Network (RFN), a member of the Société de Législation Comparée, a correspondent for the Scientific Committee of the Fondation pour le droit continental and a member of the Research School 'Ius Commune'. Since 1992 she has been a member of the board of the Dutch branch of the French comparative society 'Association Henri Capitant', first as general secretary, since September 2009 as chairman. She is also a Faculty Coordinator for Basic Qualification Education and a member of the Test Committee FdR. Since 2010 she has been deputy judge at the Amsterdam Court of Appeal. Diana Dankers-Hagenaars studied Dutch law (graduation in 1991) and French Language and Literature (graduation in 1984, teaching qualifications in 1982) at the University of Leyden. From 1984 until 1991 she worked as a teacher at high school. Since 1991 she has been affiliated to the Amsterdam Institute for Private Law of the University of Amsterdam, since January 1th 2010 as Associate Professor. In October 2000 she received her PhD thesis at the University of Amsterdam on the topic of the legal nature of the concession, in a specific public service contract, in Dutch and French law. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Réseau franco-anglais, correspondent for the Fondation pour le droit continental, member of the Société de Législation Comparée and member of the Research School 'Ius Commune'. Since 1992 she is a member of the board of the Dutch chapter of the Association Henri Capitant in the French legal tradition, since September 2009 as president. She is the coordinator of the Faculty Teaching Quality Committee. Since 2010 she is deputy judge to the Court of Appeal of Amsterdam (Amsterdam Court of Appeal).
