Biography
Since 1999, Frank Tros is affiliated to the Faculty of Law at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Frank Tros studied sociology at the University of Groningen. After his PhD at the Utrecht University - on myths and realities in the decentralisation of Dutch industrial relations - he was post-doctoral researcher for NWO, the Netherlands Organisation for scientific research, about the relationships between flexibility and security in European labour markets.
Research Interest
Frank Tros has been involved in many research projects at the Hugo Sinzheimer Instituut and the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced labour Studies (AIAS) in the fields of labour law and employment relations. During the last years he initiated and coordinated an European project on Intergenerational Bargaining (iNGenBar) and a Dutch project on modernization processes in workers' codetermination in companies. Further, Frank has been involved in many EU research projects.
