Biography
Gaetano Best is a Ph.D. researcher at the Amsterdam Center for International Law (ACIL). Prior to his appointment, Gaetano worked as a research assistant at the ACIL. In the course of his studies, he also worked as a deputy law clerk at the criminal law section of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal and interned at the ICTY, where he assisted the judges and legal officers of Trial Chamber I in the case against Ante Gotovina, Ivan ÄŒermak and Mladen MarkaÄ. Gaetano obtained his LL.B (2010) and LL.M (2011) from the University of Amsterdam.
