Biography
Ingo Venzke is Associate Professor at the Department of International and European Law and Director of the Amsterdam Center for International Law (ACIL). His research forms part of the research priority area on 'Law and Justice Across Borders', and his teaching includes LL.M. courses on International Trade Law and International Dispute Settlement. Ingo has held visiting appointments at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Jindal Global Law School. He was a Hauser Research Scholar at New York University (NYU), a Visiting Scholar at the Cegla Center for the Interdisciplinary Research of the Law, Tel Aviv University, and at the Center for the Study of Law and Society, UC Berkeley. He was a long-term research fellow at the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg.
Research Interest
Ingo's work at the moment focuses on the many roles that international courts play in global governance. More specifically, he examines how they contest and accommodate authority in a normative pluriverse.
