Biography
Jan H. (Huibertus) van de Beek studied mathematics at Utrecht University and got his MSc in 1997. He graduated on the development of the infinite series concept in seventeenth century British mathematics. In 2002 he received his M.A. in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam. His thesis dealt with the public debate and government policy with regard to asylum seekers.
