Biography
Madeleine Moret graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2005, with Masters degrees in both in International Relations and Islam in the Modern World. She was an intern at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and at the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After completing a post-doctorate course on Foreign Affairs at the Clingendael Institute in the Hague, she was accepted for the graduate program of Royal Dutch Shell. From August 2008 onwards she was an associate lecturer at the University of Amsterdam, Political Science department. As a junior researcher she was part of the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR), researching the influence of societal uncertainty on dichotomous thinking. In 2013 she spent a semester as a visiting research fellow at Claremont Graduate University’s Social Identity Lab, in California, United States. She is currently the Programme Manager for UvA’s PPLE (Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics) College.
