Biography
Dr. Radboud G.F. Winkels is associate professor in Computer Science and Law at the “Leibniz Center for Law” and dean of the PPLE college. As a psychologist and AI researcher he specializes in artificial legal reasoning, (social) network analysis, natural language processing and (legal) ontologies. He teaches in AI and Forensic Science. He was president of the JURIX foundation of Legal Knowledge and Information Systems and of the International Association of AI and Law. Besides, Winkels is a member of the Workers Council of the Faculty of Law (from 2000-2006 as the chair, now vice-chair) and was the chair of the Central Workers Council of the University of Amsterdam til September 2016 (from 2012, before that vice-chair).
