Biography

Gonzalo Ordóñez-Matamoros is PhD in Public Policy of the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Georgia State University, USA. He graduated as B.A. in Finance and International Relations at the Universidad Externado de Colombia (UEC), as M.A. (D.E.A.) in International Economics and Economic Development at the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and as M.A. (D.E.A.) in International and European-Community Economic Relations Law at the Université Paris X- Nanterre, France. Dr. Ordóñez worked as Executive Director of the Colombian Observatory of Science and Technology, and as a staff member at COLCIENCIAS, the Colombian Science Foundation. He is professor at the Faculty of Finance, Government and International Relations at the Universidad Externado de Colombia in Bogotá, and Research Associate at the Technology Policy and Assessment Center –TPAC of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He has served as consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank –IDB, the United Nations Development Program –UNDP, and to several Colombian government agencies. His research interests relate to issues associated with Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Design, as well as on Policy Performance and Impact Assessment Methods.
