Biography
Klaasjan Visscher is Assistant Professor of Organization and Innovation Studies. He holds a master degree in ‘Industrial Engineering & Management’ and in ‘Philosophy of Science, Technology & Society’ (with distinction). He obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Twente in 2001, with a thesis on Design Methodology in Management Consulting.
Research Interest
Klaasjan Visscher’s previous research focused on design processes, management consulting practices, and the design of innovative organizations. He has also been editor of ‘Creativity and Innovation Management’. Klaasjan’s current research interests relate to complex technological and organizational innovation journeys in the past, present and future. He is involved in Horizon 2020 projects (‘Industrial Innovation in Transition’ and ‘European Markets for Climate Services’), Tech4People projects (‘Business model innovation by low carbon community groups’ and ‘Machine-based mapping of innovation journeys’) and in Ph.D. studies related to innovation and organization in complex systems, telecom, and the performing arts.
