Dr. V. Schulze Greiving (stimberg)
Postdoctoral Researcher
DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, AND POLICY STUDIES
University of Twente
Netherlands
Biography
Verena Schulze Greiving studied Chemistry at the University of Applied Sciences (Saxion Hogeschool, Enschede) followed by the MSc program Nanotechnology at the University of Twente, Enschede. In September 2010 she started as a PhD student in the BIOS – Lab on a chip group at the same university to develop a microfluidic platform for experimentation on bilayer lipid membranes. In the frame of this NanoNextNL PhD project, Verena Schulze Greiving co-organized a constructive technology assessment (CTA) workshop which resulted in a complete chapter in her thesis. She continued her TA excursion in the frame of a NanoNextNL PostDoc project at STePS, where she created an overview of various CTA methods towards a sort of ‘toolbox which is available online at www.cta-toolbox.nl. Currently, Verena is involved in the “Digitalize or Die” project in which she analyzes which role Responsible Research and Innovation plays in ICT-based Health Care Technologies in Twente and the region Overijssel.
