D.a.m. (daniel) Vanmaekelbergh
Chemistry and Physics of Nanostructures

Biography
Vanmaekelbergh focuses his research on synthesis of colloidal (hetero) nanocrystals and self-organization of these units into functional superlattice materials. A recurrent theme is the relationship between the local microscopic properties (atomic structure, energy levels, charge distribution as measured with scanning-probe nano-spectroscopy) and the collective opto-electronic material properties.
