Biography
Gerrit Bloothooft (1952), as a teacher / researcher, was interested in naming science, in collaboration with the Meertens Institute of KNAW, firstly identifying the personal names in the Netherlands based on information from the Municipal Basic Administration. In addition, the human voice has traditionally been of interest, especially the singing voice. In general, his interest in pattern recognition in various domains. Historically, data-related data-sharing is part of this, and in this area he works in collaboration with the IISH (Amsterdam) based on digitized data of the old civil status (WieWasWie) for a reconstruction of the population after 1811.
