Biography
João Trabucho is assistant professor in the Comparative Sedimentology Group. João is a member of the Utrecht Young Academy. João is Associate Editor of the Journal of Sedimentary Research. He is the Dutch National Correspondent of the International Association of Sedimentologists. João is interested in: Oceanic Anoxic Events and black mud sedimentation (black shales) Mesozoic (Jurassic and Cretaceous) nonuniformitarian sedimentary environments the sedimentology of mud-dominated linear siliciclastic coasts, shallow clastic seas, and the deep ocean (bio)physical sedimentary processes and environments of deposition of mud in deep time facies models of deep-water black shales the petrology and petrography of mud and shales sequence stratigraphy in mud-dominated successions stratigraphic completeness of fine-grained sedimentary successions
