Biography
Laurien Crump is a University Teacher and Researcher in the History of International Relations. She specializes in multilateral diplomacy and European security during the Cold War from both Western and Eastern European perspectives. During her dissertation, she studied the multilateralization of the Warsaw Pact, which resulted in a book in Routledge, among others: The Warsaw Pact Reconsidered. International Relations in Eastern Europe, 1955-1969. Her book recently won the international 'George Blazyca Prize' for the 'best book on Eastern Europe'. She has also written many articles and book chapters on international relations within and with Eastern Europe during the Cold War.
