Biography
The Nobel prize in Economics Sciences was awarded to Professor Angus Deaton because of his analysis of consumption, poverty, and welfare. U.S.E. Professor in Institutions and Economics Maarten Goos shares his opinion on the winner in Kijk Magazine. “Deaton deserves this award for all his contributions to economics”, says Goos. Deaton is a professor at Princeton University. Goos saw him often, during seminars: “Deaton is tremendously critical of himself and others, he was always in front row. The question at the seminars was always “Will Angus Deaton come or not?”
