Biography
Mark Vermeer graduated cum laude at the University of Utrecht in 2015 at the MA thesis ' Scored tOesterwijc' - The town secretariat of Oisterwijk, about 1200 to 1550 . For this purpose, in April 2016 he received the Jan Brouwer Award Prize History from the Royal Dutch Society of Sciences. He currently works as a PhD student at Utrecht University, where he is affiliated with the research project Communication and the Exploitation of Knowledge of the Media Studies Research School. Herein he writes his dissertation with (preliminary) research title Pragmatic literacy in the countryside. The case of the Bailiwick of 's-Hertogenbosch, 13-16 th century.
