Biography
Niels Terpstra is a PhD student in Conflict Studies within the Department of International Relations History (GIB). His research interest is based on the behavior of armed groups in intra-state conflicts. In his research, he focuses on the relations between citizens and rebel groups and forms of governance that can arise in rebel-controlled areas. Its geographical focus is South Asia, especially Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
