Biography
Rick Nouwen is "universitair hoofddocent" (associate professor) at the department of Languages, Literature and Communication. He is the principal investigator of the ERC Consolidator project "Restriction and Obviation in Scalar Expressions" as well as the managing editor of the OUP Journal of Semantics. Rick's research concerns (formal) semantics and pragmatics, especially where these disciplines meet philosophy of language and/or cognitive psychology.
