Biography
We make new compounds through organic synthesis that can block or detect disease-causing processes, with high affinity and selectivity. In many cases, it involves protein-carbohydrate interactions. Multivalence is an important theme and is used to enhance the working power of often low-binding carbohydrates. Boom-like structures (dendrimers) are used to make systems multivalent, but also nanoparticles and array surfaces are investigated.
