Biography
Suzanne Bogaerds-Hazenberg has particular interest in the language development of children, especially for the development of their literacy. Since September 2016 she has worked as a PhD student at the University of Utrecht. Her PhD research concerns reading comprehension at primary school and focuses on whether an explicit focus on text structure and observational learning can effectively be used to increase student understanding of texts. Suzanne completed the bachelor's pedagogical sciences (cum laude, 2013) and French language and culture (summa cum laude, 2014) and the research master Linguistics (summa cum laude, 2016) at the University of Groningen.
