Biography
Tatiana Bruni is lecturer in Italian Language & Culture and tutor at University College Utrecht. She started her studies in Italian at the University of Bologna in 1986. After studying in 1989 for a semester with an Erasmus Exchange Exchange Dutch Art History and Literature of the Golden Age at Leiden University, she decided to stay in the Netherlands. She studied at the UU in Italian Language and Literature, in which she obtained her doctoral degree in Translation, cum laude in 1992 . She has taught both bachelor and masters courses in language acquisition, Italian linguistics, Italian culture, translation and intercultural communication for UU Training. For several years she has been teaching Italian Language and Culture and coordinator of the Language and Culture courses at the University College Utrecht. At the UCU, she has developed great interest in integrating (inter) cultural skills in foreign language education, mainly among beginners.
