Biography
Ms. Wina Graus (PhD) is Assistant Professor Energy & Resources at Utrecht University within the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development. She works on scenario analyses for sustainable energy futures. In 2010 she finished her PhD thesis on the development of energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions of fossil-fired power generation. From 2002 to 2010, she worked at Ecofys in Utrecht with the department Energy Strategy. She led several energy efficiency benchmark analyses and best practice studies on energy-intensive industries, such as power generation, iron and steel, cement, refineries, chemicals (incl. gases, silicon carbide) and food production. Also she was involved in the development of many long-term scenarios to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in 2030 or 2050, on country level or global level.
