Biography
Sven Dumoulin joined AkzoNobel as General Counsel in 2010 and in that capacity is responsible for legal, compliance, intellectual property and legacy management. He holds a PhD in law from the University of Groningen and worked as a lawyer with a large Dutch firm prior to joining Unilever in 2003, where he was appointed Group Secretary four years later. From 2003 to 2007 Sven held professorships at the Universities of Groningen and Tilburg in the Netherlands. From 2017, he is Professor of International Company Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Outside AkzoNobel, he is a member of various Legal Professional Associations in both the Netherlands and abroad. He is a board member of the Dutch Association for Listed Companies (VEUO).
