Biography
Having represented Auckland in both age group Hockey and Cricket, Kirwan developed a passion for biomechanics. This interest led him to move to Christchurch and become part of the Active Health team in 2008. Experienced in treating the youngest children to the elite sports person, Kirwan tailors his treatment plans and manages activity related injuries through proficiency in orthotic design, gait analysis and shoe prescription. He is also actively involved in the development of diabetes foot care management in Christchurch and is Active Health’s principal diabetes podiatrist. Kirwan is based at Active Health’s Manchester Street clinic however provides full podiatry cover at Active Health’s satellite clinics.
