Biography
With his strong background in drug discovery and experimental therapeutics, Jon brings a fresh perspective to many of the research endeavors that Arcus undertakes. Whether it is an analysis of the competitive landscape, or leading a deep dive into the literature, Jon’s strength is to draw on many complex data sources, and create a succinct and powerful statement, tuned precisely to the desired audience. Previous to his role at Arcus, Jon worked on Discovery teams at Centocor, where he investigated monoclonal antibody therapies in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. He earned his PhD from Cornell University, completed thesis work on novel death mechanisms in cancer cells at the Sloan-Kettering Institute, after receiving a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Boston University. Jon’s drive for succinct and compelling communications stems from his former role as an Executive Editor at Elsevier.
