Biography
fter graduating from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1988, Andrew joined the UK National Health Service general management training scheme. Following completion of his training in 1990 he worked in hospital management positions in Birmingham and Hull before moving to the Newcastle upon Tyne in 1997. After 11 years in various operational management and corporate planning roles, Andrew left Newcastle in April 2008 to emigrate to New Zealand joining the Waitemata District Health Board as a general manager, initially of adult health services and more recently of surgical and ambulatory services. Andrew took up his current role at Northland DHB in January 2012.
