Biography
She has completed her BSc in textile chemistry in 1993 from Leeds University.In 1996 she has completed her PhD from Leeds university in textile Chemistry "Chemical Modification of Bacterial Cellulose to Produce Improved Wound Care Products"
Research Interest
Her research focuses on the intrinsic properties of wool fibres and fabrics with particular emphasis around seeking new uses and penetrating new markets for wool fibre. She is particularly interested in medical and personal care textiles and interactions between human skin and textiles. This includes working with next to skin textiles (base-layer) and also other products (sanitary, wound dressings) that come into direct contact with skin.
