Biography
Grant Pearce is one of New Zealand's leading specialists in wildfire behaviour. His research has enabled the development of fire behaviour models for New Zealand fuel types, which are routinely used by fire management agencies.
Research Interest
Forest and rural fire research including fire behaviour, fire danger rating, fire weather and climatology, biomass/fuel load modelling, climate change and risk management.
