Dr. Saman Bowatte is affiliated to Dept of Soil microbial ecology, New Zealand Pastoral Agriculture Research Institute , where Dr. Saman Bowatte is currently working as Senior Scientist. Dr. Saman Bowatte has authored and co-authored several national and international publications and also working as a reviewer for reputed professional journals. Dr. Saman Bowatte is having an active association with different societies and academies around the world. Dr. Saman Bowatte made his mark in the scientific community with the contributions and widely recognition from honourable subject experts around the world. Dr. Saman Bowatte has received several awards for the contributions to the scientific community. Dr. Saman Bowatte major research interest involves  understand the interaction between land management practises and global change drivers (CO2, temperature, rainfall) and their impact on both pastoral production and environmental quality. Current research covers greenhouse gas impacts and mitigation, modelling adaptation to global change drivers, modelling nutrient dynamics and losses in pastoral systems, improvement of soil quality and physical stability, analysis of the ecosystem services provided by agricultural soils and regional scale modelling of the rural sector..
