Biography
Yasmina Bennani was born in Osijek, Croatia in 1986. She did her bachelor and master study at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology in Zagreb, Croatia (September 2005 – July 2010). Both, bachelor and master final work researches are related and dealing with membrane processes and water treatment technologies. After the studies she was working as a research assistant at UNESCO-IHE in the Netherlands till September 2011. The combination of laboratory based joining applied research makes her very enthusiastic, which may explain her further work at the prestige institution, TU Delft, as a PhD researcher. She joined the research group of Sanitary Engineering on the 1st of October. She will be working on the project Development of a novel, sustainable and robust water treatment system for swimming pools, under the supervision of prof. dr. ir. L.C. Rietveld. This program offers her the opportunity to reach a PhD degree, another level of academic achievement which opens window of opportunity for her further carrier.c
