James Montgomery

Biography

I am a Dunedin-raised lad so I know the area well.  I have blue and gold in my veins.  I originally graduated from Otago University with a BCom but had an epiphany and returned to study physiotherapy and start working in private practice in my mid-30’s.  Since graduating I have developed my knowledge and manual therapy skills in the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injury and pain as my prime focus.  I work closely with several associations to provide my expertise including Otago Cricket, Otago Hockey, Southern Hockey and more recently the Highlanders Rugby Club.  I enjoy working with both local sports enthusiasts and elite athletes, as I feel we can learn from each other through our love of sports and the problem solving that physiotherapy provides by getting ‘hands on’.
