Joan Cowan

Biography

Joan is the General Manager of HealthCare NZ’s Specialist Advice and Services, which includes Explore Specialist Advice, Freedom Medical Alarms and Solora. Joan has 30 years’ disability sector experience, both in a management and advisory capacity. Joan has been instrumental in the development of Explore as the national behaviour support service both in terms of the structure and development of policy and procedures needed to support this service. Her role has recently been expanded to include the leadership of healthcare technology company Freedom Medical Alarms, and Solora Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
